Long time..

It's been a while since I posted. I couldn't ever tell how many people actually read this ever. I've been posting in my Rooster Teeth journal for a while now. Figure I'd stop back.

Things have been up and down.

Top of the year I found I needed to replace my old Honda Civic which we did. Replaced it with an Oldsmobile Achieva.
The Achieva has issues. Issues Firestone couldn't figure out. Still works and runs and everything... just is really finiky.
We recently traded in Jake's Beetle for a Ford Taurus for me which I love. Now the bank is threatening to take it away because the dealership told me to put down that I worked full time and they need a copy of my pay stub showing this which takes a month to generate from the school.
Don't know what's going to happen there.

I feel depressed all the time.

I need an internship and no idea where to go for one. I'm been trying to contact a lawyer in Syracuse but she apparently refuses to return my calls. Fustrating. Do to this I did not graduate in May and have a very rocky relationship with my mom right now. Thanks GOD my dad doesn't know. I don't even want to think what he might do or say... so there's another worry there. I hope he doesn't find out.

Grifball... my one outlet for stress is causing even more stress from team drama.

I just feel like I've nothing happy anymore. Well, not exactly. I've got Novitas which is once a month. That's like my highlight of life right now.

I just could really use a break and I keep feeling like every time I start making head way life shoves me right back down again and it sucks.

But then compared to other people I suppose I'm not too bad off... i guess.

*sigh* I want to go home.

My other car is a Puma......*sigh* I wish it was...

NOTE: this was originally posted in a RvB journal entry... hence the pronoun usage. You'll see what I mean.

Things today had been going well. I had my late class today and was able to go up and hide in my study carrol* up on the 3rd floor since the professor wasn't there and the librarian didn't care. I accidentally stayed an hour late as I was deep in the midst of some research (read: was watching several eps. of RvB) and lost track of time. So I drive home.

Well about 5-10minutes of highway driving away from my exit my car decides it no longer want to move forward. You press on the gas.. nothing. Engine didn't even rev. Luckily I was in the right lane already so moving over to the shoulder of the road wasn't too hard. Pull over, whip out cell phone and do what everyone should do.... call mum. Have a chat with mum and dad about what I should do. Dad tries to diagnose what might have caused the problem over the phone. But since my mechanically knowledge is limited to whatever I learned way back in 6th grade I don't know what to tell him really. Mum says call AAA, which was my next call anyway. Hang up with them call AAA.

Lucky for me, Mum got me a year subscription with AAA for Christmas and the lady on the phone was very nice. She took my information and my location and said they'd have someone out to get my car in roughly 45min depending on where the drivers were. This was an estimate as there could be a driver on hand in which case they'd be right out. Cool. They'll take my car to the Firestone dealer.

Now some of my friends in this community know I live with my fiance. My next logical call was to let him know what has happened as by this point I'm 2 hours overdue to be home. Contacting him is the tricky part as he doesn't have a cell phone and according to Verizon our phone line is currently broken for who knows what reason.

So I call his mum and dad. His mum comes out to wait with me while his dad tries to contact him on AIM. His mum comes. A police officer also stops by to make sure everything is ok and sets some flares up for us. My fiance's dad eventually gets ahold of my fiance and tells him what's going on. My car gets to the shop and I'll probably find out what happened to it tomorrow.

In the mean time I have no car which means I can neither get to work or class (thank goodness my next class isn't till Thursday).
A rental will cost me $400.00 so I don't want to have to get on unless I really need it. If my car is going to be in the shop for many days then yes... I'll have to go get one. But if it's something simple then I might have it back by tomorrow. I'll just have to wait and see.

*for those that don't know what they are - a study carrol is a tiny little room with just enough space width wise for two chairs side-by-side, a counter about a 1 1/2 deep and the width of the room (roughly 3 feet) with a smaller shelf above it. It has a lockable door to the outside. It's purpose is for students, faculty, and staff to have their own private place in the library where they can study and do research and leave materials and not have to worry about being disturbed. It's really nice. The only problem with my little room is there's no power outlet for my laptop... but there's one just round the corner so it's not to much of a hassle to sit there for a while if I have to.

Cloverfield

Cloverfield...

Alright first off this is not a new Godzilla movie. I'd heard a rumor floating around that it was. It's not.

Second - If you are affected even the slightest bit by scary/horror type movies I recommend that you watch this movie early in the day so your brain has time to process through it before you try and go to sleep. This is not a film I would recommend watching a few hours before bed time. Now on to the movie review...

The premise of the movie according to IMDB is: Five young New Yorkers throw their friend a going-away party the night that a monster the size of a skyscraper descends upon the city. Told from the point of view of their video camera, the film is a document of their attempt to survive the most surreal, horrifying event of their lives.

The trailer for this movie is basically about the first 5 minutes of the movie itself almost verbatim. All hell breaks loose from there.

The original pack of people this movie starts with is Rob and his brother Jason, Jason's fiance(?) Lilly, Rob's best friend Hud who is the cameraman and another chic that was at Rob's party Marlena.

After the Statue of Liberty's head goes flying and crashes into the street outside Rob's apartment, people start running crazy in the streets. People breaking in to shops and stealing stuff. The usual chaos.

Eventually the police start trying to evacuate people over the Brooklyn bridge to get them out of Manhattan which is ground zero for the attack. Of course the creature destroys said bridge and we lose Jason in the attack. Rob been on the phone trying to call his love interest Beth and gets cut off a second before a flying piece of debris takes out the section of bridge that Jason was standing on. Everyone goes screaming off the bridge.

Rob's battery dies and he then becomes narrow mindedly obsessed with getting a new cell battery. He basically blows off his 3 remaining panicky friends to bust in a near by electronics store with a ton of other people and nabs a new battery in time to hear a dying voicemail message from Beth about how she's trapped and can't move. He decides that he must get to her and the others go with him not wanting to be split up and Hud (who had been put in charge of filming the party at movie start) keeps rolling the film.

Part way there to her building the creature shows up in all it's scary glory followed closely by the military rolling in with heavy artillery and ground troop shooting the hell out of this thing. The creature drops mini versions of itself all over and these little critters attack anyone and anything in it's path and with literally gut someone in a few seconds. Our 4 hero's windup ducking into a near by underground platform the entrance to which is blown closed with an bomb hit as they barely get inside safely.

After some time of trying to cope with all the loss, and Rob informing his mum that his brother is dead, they discover a map of the underground and realize that if they just walk down the tunnel they'll come out close to where they want to be. It's dark in the tunnel but conviently enough the camera has a built in light. They keep walking when Marlena notices tons of rats running away as fast as they can in the same direction they are heading... like the running from something(dun dun dun!). The decision is to move as quickly as they can and get out at the next platform. Cue the creepy noises from behind them. Once again the camera of awesome is equipped with Night Vision capability and as soon as it's switched on our camera dude Hud sees at least 2 of those mini creature starring at them on the ceiling of the tunnel. He yells to run.. creatures attack. The manage to duck into a operators break room thing off to the side of the tunnel and lock the door with the creatures on the other side. Everyone is more or less ok except for Marlena who is somehow the only one that got bit by one of those things and the wound doesn't seem to want to stop bleeding. As they explore out from the room the discover a mall type thing just outside the platform. Exploring this area leads them to be found by some military guys with guns that quickly usher them off to a triage set up in a department store. Rob tries to convince the military types that he needs to go save Beth. They tell him no. Marlena turns to Hud saying she doesn't feel good as blood starts pouring from her eyes. Nearby medical lady starts yelling "We've got a bite!" and they haul Marlena off to a quarantine area right before she explodes. (you don't directly see this. you just see her shadow on the plastic wall and the quarantine section.)

Military people drag the 3 remaining people of the group off to a small little area as they are going nuts after watching their friend go pop. One of the military guys says that if they want to try and get to their friend he won't stop them and tells them when the last evac copters are leaving and where they are because if they don't leave by then the military has been authorized to level Manhattan to the ground to try and kill off the creature.

They get to Beth's building and find it's been tipped sideways into the one next to it. The climb up the stair of the one still intact and jump over to Beth's building and run down to her apartment. There they find Beth impaled on a piece of rebar. They lift her off (again this happens off screen. Hud sets the camera down and you just see her squirming legs as she's listed up and off the rebar). Bandage her up as best they can, jump buildings again and take off for the evac area.

They get there and Lily is put on a different copter that takes off and that's the last time you see her. The other three get air lifted in a different copter that goes flying by the creature just as B2 bombers go flying by. They think it's dead until the thing comes out of no where and takes a bite out of the helocopter. They crash but the three of them survive. As they are running away Hud realizes hes left the camera behind and runs back to pick it up. When he turns around the creature is standing over him looking at him. Next you get to see the inside of this things mouth as it chews him up a bit and then spits him back out before moving on. Rob and Beth lament for a minute before grabbing the camera and running away to a nearby bridge over a little stream where they have a moment crying.

Rob then says a final good bye into the camera and gets Beth to do the same seconds before a bomb explodes the bridge around them and all you get to see is debris as you here Rob and Beth yell "I love you" 's at each other before another bomb goes off and the film just stops.

That's the entire movie in a nut shell.

This one gave me nightmares. I don't think I got any decent sleep last night at all.

Thought...

Why the heck do gaming companies just dump older products?

Now I'm not saying they should continue supporting older systems forever and always... but a year or so would be nice.

Do I expect to be able to find accessories for my GB Colour? No, that system is old. Do I expect to find stuff in stores for my DS Classic? Hell Yes! Can I find anything on a normal basis? No, it's all made for the DS Lite.

My DS Classic was only a month or so old before the Lite came out and they stopped making accessories for the Classic version. I know they aren't selling the Classic version in stores anymore, but still, it would be nice to find some gear for it in the store every now and then.

I see your plan Nintendo... you just want my money. Well I have news for you I won't ever be buying a DS Lite for me.

Now if one happens to be bought for Jake that's no fault of mine. And if it just happens that it happens to be pink so he won't touch it and winds up using my blue DS classic.. well there's nothing I can do about his aversion to pink.

Games!!

The latest additions to my "Game related things I need to acquire":
Halo
Halo2
Halo3
Xbox 360
XBL account?

If anyone can assist with any of this I would appreciate it.

I <3 Red vs. Blue. RvB is the reason I really really REALLY want to play Halo. It's been so long... I need my sniper fix.I want one of their shirts but it's out of stock. Damn it.

In other news:
I started playing Chaos Legion (And FF12: Revant Wings). I'm not one that really like fighting games but the learning curve on this one doesn't seem to bad so far. Basically the game sends tons of baddies at you and you kill them with a sword. You get Legions to help you out which are pretty cool even though I haven't quite figured out how they hell you use them effectively and the game doesn't really help explain that point at all.

You can make you legions more bad ass though by using the XP they earn to buy up their stats. Kind of cool.... allows for nifty customization.

The curve of the game so far sucks though. I'm in stage 4/5 (I can't remember which) and the first map of the stage is fairly simply. I can beat through with little problem. Then I get to the first map where there's 6 of these massive spider metal body things that want to use me as a hacky sack. Oh and they can only be damaged by hitting them in the face and they like to charge you at random knocking a nice chunk of your health with it. This is how this map progresses:
Round 1: One massive spider metal body thing that want to use me as a hacky sack.
~Not to bad... I can normally kill it with out needing a HP item. The initial charge at me I can normally dodge.
Round 2: Two massive spider metal body things that want to use me as a hacky sack.
~Initial charge almost impossible to dodge. I can get though this round but normally not without resorting to using up one if not all of my heal items on hand.
Round 3: Three massive spider metal body things that want to use me as a hacky sack as well as a spawn of other smalled bad guys that like to turn into a ball and steam roll you.
~Inital charge? Yeah don't even think about trying to dodge and you better pray you've got full health cause the three of them are about to take half of it. I normally die here. I've yet to even kill one of the three. *sigh*

As for FF12:RW... I've been playing though that at a fair decent pace so perhaps I'll have a review of that up soon. I've got the next FF game for the DS on pre-order. Woot
Considering buying Jake a DS of his own. Or giving him my classic DS and getting a new DS so I can finally buy cute accessories for the damn thing.

Car Sale!

Those of you that have seen my car know it to be in pretty rough shape. Granted it was bought that way and it got me where I needed to go so I'm not really complaining.

Over the holidays my little car got thwacked by something. We've never been able to determine what. The resulting damage meant the car would not pass inspection at the end of the month and there's was apparently enough damage that it was more cost effective to obtain a new car than to fix the one I have now.

This weekend I went up to my parents house and procured a new car. In a weeks time I'll be driving a white 1997 Achieva SL with only 86k miles on it. It cost $3,000. That will be including a new full set of tires, new gas tank, new ground wire, some other stuffs, and it's inspection. The car actually cost only $2,800... but the person we're buying it from said he'd get the new tires on for $200 so we went ahead and asked him to do such.

That all being said my little car is now up for sale.

The car in question is a Black 1997 Honda Civic that we'd like to sell for $600. It still drives like a champ.. I just can't afford to fix the front end damage we think was caused by a snow plow. Honestly if it wasn't for the fact that it has to be fixed to past inspection I'd keep driving it.

Due to this we'd recommend the car for parts. The brakes are less than a year old. It has new rear break lines and a new exhaust pipe (from the engine all the way to the back end) as of about oct-nov. The back left drivers side tire is brand new as of Sept 17th (I remember cause I had it changed on my birthday).

If anyone is interested by any chance let us know. Or if you know someone who is please give them our contact info.
My cell is (716)622-6987. Our house phone is (315)-458-0355.
You can also reach me by email at hromowyk@oswego.edu and Jake's is jacob09481@yahoo.com

My phone has voice mail and we've an answering machine as well at home.

Pensive

I crochet. I crochet, (I realized tonight) to finally quiet my thoughts for a short time. Crochet is structured. It does not require extensive thought. Fillet crochet requires less than the sort of crochet most people are used to.

My mind has been more of a jumble as of late. I realized tonight I have been working on some project every day for at least the past 4 days.

I have read that to empty your mind will bring you relaxation. My mind is a flury of thoughts. Strands that wave about until I take notice of them as I glance them over. To quiet my mind is something I haven't ever been able to do at will.

Until now the only way I have ever found to drown out my thoughts was to immerse myself in music. I find myself to be a creature of music. Music can calm me when I'm angry, comfort me when I am sad, bring joy when I am gloomy, lull me to sleep when nothing else can, and all of this it does in a fraction of the time it would take for anything else I could do to achieve the same effect to work.

Now I realize I can find that same mental quiet when the only thing I have to focus on is my thread and my hook for my crochet.

The works I produce from the end of my hook and the diminished size of my skein of thread are reminders of the mental quiet I found when I created them. Reminders that if I need to find that quiet.. I have only to return to them.

Game Review!!

I've decided to start reviewing games that I come across whenever I feel like it.

Today's game is called NosTale. http://www.nostale.co.uk

First it should be noted I haven't spent a terrible amount of time playing this game. My reason for this I'll illustrate later. That being noted let's move on.

NosTale (NT) is brought to us by GameForce 4D which is apparently a British company judging by the .uk tag in URL. NT it's self is another free MMORPG I stumbled across while doing something else today at work.

The download for the game is rather small in terms of an MMO; only 700MB. I used FlashGet to manage the download and it didn't take very long at all. Maybe 15 minutes on the connection I was on.

The NT website is pretty looking and seems fairly straight forward. From what I can see the player guide is fairly complete and comprehensive so it's actually useful and can actually be used as a reference. You might find this statement odd, but some of the MMO's I've played have either had really horrible player guides or didn't have one at all.

The game it's self....
This game is INCREDIBLY cute looking.

I'd say it must have come from some Asian company that also specializes in some sort of anime.. but I don't think that is the case.

Character creation is fairly simple. Pick either male/female. 1 or 2 hair style choices and 1 of about 10 hair colour choices. Name the character and off you go.

As of this writing I've gotten up to lvl 12 and I've only been playing for about an hour... no more than that. During this time I've been working through the games 'tutorial' which consists of quest after quest that will queue pop-ups to show you nifty things about the interface.

Unlike most MMO's I've played, this game doesn't employ the F keys at all. It uses 1-10 and Q,W,E,R,and T. The interface its'self is pretty standard. Upper left has your HP and MP, name, lvl, and a cute picture of your character. Under that is your pets bar. Targeted enemy appears in a bar middle top of screen and a quest window for running quests appears on the right side right under the mini-map in the upper right corner. Bottom edge of the screen has your XP bars, quick slots and system icons. The game will let you access these other menu's with hotkeys... the the hotkey for them doesn't seem to make logical sense. The character menu is accessed with P. Quests with O. At least your Inventory is still I.

Skills strike me as somewhat clunky. You run though a tutorial about it, but I'm still left scratching my head wondering how exactly I use it. You learn skills by meeting the min lvl req, having enough gold and CP to buy the skill. CP, as a side note, is never defined so I don't know if it stands for something or not. You do have Basic and Advanced skills... but it's not required for you to learn Basic skills. According to the NPC you can just start learning advanced skills as soon as you want. Also each skill can have Plus Skills which will make your skill better and customized a little bit. A cool idea in theory but as of yet I can't figure out how to get this system to work even though the game has told me I can use this system and should be using it by now.

This MMO has a pet system and as far as I can tell the pets are only there to be cute and add the occational extra damage to whatever it is your fighting. You can only have one with you at one time and the ones you aren't using go into this mysterious place called Mini-Land which is kind of like your own little yard area with a deck you can access from any where as long as you have an item called Bell of Sweet Home which will take you there. You get a quest to tame your first pet (a chicken) soon after beginning the game. Taming is fairly easy. Target tamable creature, attack until it's health is yellow, use tame skill. Tame either succeeds or fails. If it succeeds the creature you were just attacking will now fall you anywhere. A fairly simple system.. but I can't really tell why you need it at all besides for the part of the target audience that likes having cute little animals follow them around everywhere. More often than not when I'm trying to double click on something to attack it I wind up click my stupid pet cause it's constantly is getting in my way. Which brings up another point.

The only way to attack something is to double click on it. Granted a lot of games employ this method. An exception that comes to mind is Rapplez which will have you at least target the creature, but then you can set an action to your quick slot bar to attack it; you don't have to double click it. The reason this system is SO annoying in NosTale is because the game, in an effort to help because all creatures move about like they are on crack or something, will 'lock' onto the creature and then trail your cursor with them as you move. Anything that comes with about 5 pixels of you cursor will generate this behavior. This is very annoying when all the mobs travel in packs and as you try to target one another jumps by stealing away your cursor.

A unique aspect is the mission system. Rarely in an MMO do you find instance driven missions. In this game you fight missions out in a land called TimeSpace. All missions have a time limit. If you don't complete the mission in time you fail and you only get so many chances to complete the missions. Missions are fairly straight forward.. get from point A to point B. In the middle will be rooms you can just run through, rooms you have to kill all the creatures in to unlock the door, and rooms with levers you must throw to open the door which are almost always trapped, meaning they spawn monsters that have to be killed before the door will open. At the end of a mission it totals up your score and gives you your loots. Very simple... but I'm not sure I like the timed system. Even though I always finished the missions I was on in time, I was always feeling rushed which made me enjoy the game less.

Game configuration options are almost non-existent and consist of what resolution you want, windowed mode option and sound level sliders for sound effects and the background music. The fact that this game has background music is a plus. A lot of free MMO's don't. But the music it does have is annoyingly happy, cheerful, and repetitive.

The game has some nice features. Music is always a plus in my book, it's free, has some fairly nice 3D graphics (even though they are highly cutesey cartoony), and a pretty unique mission system. However the movement system leaves a lot to be desired and probably the thing that makes me want to brain myself. The camera is free moving but only so much and not enough to give me the angles I really want when I play a game like this. The zoom isn't much of one which prevents you have getting a nice tight shot on your avatar to check out your gear and get decent screen shots. When you do move your character they run so insanely slow it feels like it take forever to move anywhere. Also when you target where your character is to go to they will take any random path they want to actually get there instead of running in just a straight line. This is only annoying because it slows them down more and kept me wondering if the game was reading my commands correctly.

On the whole... if you like incredibly cute games and are looking for an MMO to play.. NosTale isn't bad, but I've seen better. In my mind the clunky control system doesn't make up for the free aspect of the game. This isn't something that has me wanting to play more and instead makes me want to go get some Advil for the headaches it's caused.

Travels

-Flashback to getting to Arizona-
Everything went more or less smoothly. The only snaffu we had was our first plane came in late, got to the connecting airport late, and so instead of an 1 1/2 hour layover we had 15 minutes to get from one end of the terminal in Detroit all the way to the other complete end.

Stay in Arizona was wonderful. For those of you who know Josh Merchant.. the wedding ceremony was simply lovely. Woot for Josh and Sander on their wedding. It was also awesome spending time with Wroble once again.

-Flash to getting home-
We get to the airport and go to terminal 3 for Northwest flights as that's what we used to get down to Arizona even though the tickets are Continental. Turns out after some checking on-line (Thank God for Freya (TGFF)) that we are aftually supposed to be in terminal 2. Hop on a shuttle and get over there. The line for Continental is HORRID. Luckily there was a kiosk outside to check bags and one inside where you could get you boarding pass as long as you weren't checking bags. So Jake and Justin wait outside while I nip in quick to snag our boarding passes and then go back out again where we check our bags.

Hint #1 something is wrong: On the way down as we had connecting flights we got all our boarding passes at once. This time round we only got the set that got us to Cleveland. However as we only had 30 minutes to get to the gate we don't think to much on it and carry on.

We get to the gate and I have the thought to check on the status of the connecting flight. We find out that it has been cancelled. Fun. We check with The Peoples and they tell us that we were automatically put on a different connecting flight to compensate. We check that one. Also cancelled. We then spend the next 20 minutes with Jake running between two different counters and me on my laptop trying to find another connector flight from Cleveland to just about anywhere in the Northeast. No such luck but we are assured that we will have more options when we get to Cleveland so we get on our 6:00am flight.

Fly

-Cleveland-
We go to the customer service counter and get rebooked for our rebooked flight. That gets cancelled. This is cancel #3 for those having trouble keeping track. We get rebooked to Philly as Jake has an Uncle there and his mum and dad would be going directly there from Phoenix so we figure we could meet up with them and things will be good.

Well our plane for that flight was redirected to Cinncinati due to weather and they aren't sure how soon it'll be back to us as that airport wasn't planning on the plane and they don't know how quickly the plpane will be serviced. So now we're delayed. Jump forward an hour or so and now the flight is cancelled. This is #4. We look into maybe going to Buffalo or Baltimore where I have kin. Mum tells me on the phone Buffalo Airport is closed and the flight out to Baltimore is cancelled.

We have tried to check the weather and research flights at this point only to find out that you have to pay for the wireless in Cleveland airport. Screw that.. not paying.

Back to the nice ladies at the Continental service desk and they get us a flight for Monday. It's a hop to Denver(or Detroit.. I can't remember which) and then from there to Syracuse hopefully. We leave for the first leg tomorrow at 3.

We got discount tickets for a hotel near by and thats where we are currently. Jake and Justin I think are asleep with one of the LOTR movies playing on the telly. I'm playing on Freya (TGFF) while waiting for our ordered dinner to show up. At least our room is nice.

Oh and did I mention that i didn't really get anysleep last night? I'm literally running off of caffine, sugar, and adrenaline.

A more full update of our goings on will follow but currently I am in the Airport in Arizona right now.

We get here and go to the wrong terminal this morning. We get to the right one.... we check in. When I printed the border passes I found it odd it only printed only ticket when we have a connecting flight. We don't think much of it cause while the actual airline is still Continental... it's their Xpress Jet express line.

I jump on Freya to check the status of that flight as previously I'd only checked our first flight. We find out that the connecting flight is cancelled. FCK!!

Now what will we do?

Edit: Flight was cancelled due to weather. We were automatically reserved to a different flight.
But we've no guarentee that this one will not be cancelled either. *sigh*

The network for the whole campus went down for 2 1/2 hours today.

You would have thought the world had ended.

That time for me consisted of roughly the following:
*ring*
Me:"CTS. How can I help you today?"
Them:-enter some explanation about not being able to access something internet related-
Me:"Ah yes, that would be because the network is down."
Them "KTHXBAI"

Rinse, wash, repeat... about a hundred times +- 50.

By the way did you know it's finals week? Apparently people thought we might forget.... so they informed us everytime they called.

Thank the heavens they'll all be going home soon.

Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened

I was Christmas shopping for my little sister and was considering getting her the newest Nancy Drew PC game as she's collecting the series. It's one of those Myst-like games. It's more simplistic though so it's easier for her to manage.

I wound up getting her something else instead but not before I noticed the game next to it on the rack.

Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened

I love Sherlock mysteries. I check the back for info about the story line. I read the following:
"Inspired by the works of author H.P. Lovercraft, this globe-spanning saga of suspense and horror pits the master sleuth against his most dangerous foe yet - a fanatical cult seemingly devoted to ancient, evil god Cthulhu."

I got to this point and stopped reading. Proceded to the nearest checkout counter.. paid them money and took the game home. It just finished installing and I have 20 minutes left on my shift.

Can you guess what I'll be playing in the Campus Center?

I had trouble sleeping last night.

Why do you ask?

I had dreams about Johann and the next play I'll be working and that Johann didn't put me on make-up crew.

I'm so paranoid right now. I don't know what I'll do if I'm not.

*sigh*

For those who have seen in me in the last week or so you may have noticed the blue wrist brace I had been donning. This was due to unexplained pain in my wrist. I figured perhaps supporting it externally for a while and letting my muscles sort themselves out with a sort of vacation might help with the pain. It was more annoying than anything else as it was my left wrist that was annoying me. I'm right handed.

Well I finally noticed the pain was mostly gone yesterday. Of course this means I have to get hurt again.

So last night at about 2340 (11:40pm for those none military reading folks) I some how managed to dislocate my shoulder. After what seemed to be an eternity but was probably only a few seconds it snapped back in place again. But for those few seconds I sat there starring at my arm going "WTF! I think my arm just dislocated. Holy Sheet I can't move my freaking arm and I'm all alone cause Jake's not home. What on earth am I going to do?"

I was all manners of dizzy, shaky, nauscious, pretty sure I was a hair breadth from passing right out, and my ears were ringing so loud I almost didn't hear Jake come home or his question of if I was alright.

Shoulder hurts like cfrazy. Mary Walker people say it looks like just soft tissue damage right now. But if it starts acting weird or if it pops again they'll send me in for x-rays.

Yeah.... and dress rehearsals for 12th Night start Saturday. Fun Fun.

There's a pantry with emergency backup caffeinated beverages. You also have some breakfast cereals in there, but you haven't had breakfast since last Spring. Your master bedroom is decorated to look like the treetop village of the Galadhrim. Your study has every fantasy novel ever written, including multiple editions of the Silmarillion and advance copies of Dungeons and Dragons Fifth Edition. One of your garages holds your collection of ferraris, and is measured in acreage.

Your home also includes a roost for griffons. You've never actually seen a griffon, but you keep the roost ready anyway. Your guests enjoy your home theater with hi-def plasma screen TV, and the thrones you watch it from. Outside is the moat that protects your home from goblin invaders and extended family.

And, you have a pet -- a unicorn named "Shadowhooves".

Below is a snippet of the blueprints:

Find YOUR Dream House!
